The Last Great Landry Team?

Sports fans in general experience plenty of heartbreak during a lifetime. The Dallas Cowboys have enjoyed more success than most franchises, so my guess is that few will sympathize with heartbreak of the Cowboys 1981 season.  The NFC Championship of the Dallas Cowboys vs. the San Francisco 49ers marked the end of one dynasty and the beginning of another.  Never again would the Cowboys be in better shape to snag another Super Bowl victory during the Landry era.  And during that same Championship game, the nation experienced the cool greatness of Joe Montana for the first time.  "The Catch," Dwight Clark's famous touchdown to win the game was almost a footnote as the Cowboys nearly pulled of a comeback with 51 seconds left on the clock. But it was not to be.

This custom RetroCards set features some popular Cowboys like Charlie Waters, Tim Newsome, Tom Rafferty, D.D. Lewis, Larry Bethea, and Tom Landry.  Special cards include a Tony Dorsett Record Breaker, a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders card, a league leader card, and "In Action" cards featuring Too Tall Jones and Butch Johnson doing his famous end zone dance the California Quake/Texas Six Shooter.  Order your set here.
