The  1970 season was a tumultuous one for the Cowboys.  Star running back Calvin Hill was lost for the season with an injury, Bob Hayes was benched by coach Landry, Craig Morton and Roger Staubach began their quarterback controversy.  Nonetheless, the Cowboys found themselves in the Super Bowl and lost a very odd game to the Baltimore Colts.  The game is sometimes called the "Blunder Bowl" because it was filled with poor play, a missed PAT, penalties, turnovers, and officiating miscues. It is more notable for the MVP to be from the losing team (Chuck Howley was the winner of the dubious award.)

This RetroCard set shows several Cowboy stars and some up-and-comers too.  Duane Thomas, Roger Staubach, Jethro Pugh, Mike Ditka, Herb Adderley, Pettis Norman, Dennis Homan, Reggie Rucker, Tom Stincic, Ron Widby, Larry Cole, John Niland, Blaine Nye, Walt Garrison, Claxton Welch, Mike Clark, and Richmond Flowers.  Order yours here.
